BLESS MY RING

LOOKING AFTER YOUR JEWELRY

Care begins with knowing the piece.

General guidance for rings and bands. The stone, treatments, metal and setting determine the right care for your jewelry.

Make room for gentle wear.

Remove jewelry before heavy manual work, cleaning with harsh chemicals or activities that could strike or catch the setting. Store pieces separately so they do not rub against one another.

Choose cleaning for the actual materials.

Do not assume a cleaner suitable for one stone is safe for another. Ask a qualified jeweler about the stone and any treatments before using chemicals, steam or ultrasonic equipment. For a piece you know is suitable, gentle cleaning is preferable to abrasives; follow its specific care instructions.

GIA diamond care guidance (opens in a new tab) and GIA emerald care guidance (opens in a new tab) explain why materials need different handling.

If something feels different, pause.

Stop wearing a piece if a stone moves, a prong catches, the band appears damaged or its fit becomes uncomfortable. Arrange an assessment before continuing to wear it. An image or online conversation cannot confirm its condition.

Care and repair for your project.

Ask about suitable care, inspection, resizing and repair when the final design is agreed. Available work, cost and any applicable order terms require assessment; this page does not promise a warranty, free service or a repair deadline.

Stone type, origin, treatments and care need confirmation; a photograph cannot establish quality. Not every gem suits every setting or everyday wear. Hidden placements need their own construction and wear review.
